Program outline

  • The FOUNDRY is a 12 month program consisting of one cohort meeting per month focused on helping you scale your business with excellence. The program leverages two one-on-one meetings with your assigned advisor throughout the month to bring clarity and understanding to the process.
  • Company owners/CEOs are paired with advisors who are successful entrepreneurs, business owners and CEOs who have built businesses, achieved strong results and are well respected in the Austin business and faith community. Foundry companies generally have over $500k in annual revenue, at least 1 employee, are Kingdom minded, and lead their business with a strong faith orientation.
  • The monthly cohort meeting is comprised of 10 business owners/CEOs and 5 advisors. The business owner/CEO meets with their assigned advisor as appropriate for coaching, mentoring, faith integration, leadership development and to help align align your business for growth and impact.
  • Each month a different topic is taught by consistent instructors, supplemented with special guests and subject matter experts. The day is constructed to build a healthy community of like minded leaders. By the end of the 12 month period the finished product is a 3-5 year strategic plan for your company that will be your road-map to scaling your business. The program provides an executive education in leadership and faith integration, with real time practical application combined with a community of Christ centered business leaders dealing with the same challenges you are.
  • The curriculum is the comprehensive Better Business Operating System, which covers topics such as:
    • Self-Assessment / Team Orientation / Needs
    • Financial Health
    • Strategic Plan
    • Marketing Strategy & Tactics
    • Sales & Channel Management
    • Risk Management
    • Customer Experience & Service
    • Manufacturing, Distribution & Last Mile
    • Managing and Leveraging Information & Data
    • Scaling & Managing Growth
    • The Ride & Sustainability

The FOUNDRY is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization.

FAQs

How do I know if this is the right season of life or business to join The Foundry?

We work with business owners in a wide range of seasons — some are in growth mode, others are rebuilding or rethinking their business altogether. The common thread is a desire to lead with clarity, connect their work to a deeper purpose, and build something that lasts. If you’re feeling stuck, isolated, or hungry for guidance and growth, this may be the perfect time to step in.

Will I really have time for this? What kind of commitment does it actually take?

We understand how full your plate already is. The Foundry is intentionally designed to fit into the life of a busy owner — not add unnecessary burden. Most of our members spend about 8–10 hours a month on the program: a half-day session, a check-in with your advisor, and optional community opportunities. The time you do spend is focused, strategic, and often energizing — not one more thing to juggle.

What happens if I miss a session or fall behind?

Life happens — and we build with that in mind. While consistency creates the most impact, we offer resources and support to help you catch up if you miss a session. Your advisor and cohort are there to walk with you, not leave you behind. We’re committed to grace and growth, not guilt.

How does The Foundry balance business success with faith integration without being pushy or overly prescriptive?

We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to faith in business. Instead, we create space for honest conversation, spiritual reflection, and personal integration. Some owners come with a strong faith background, others are exploring what faith means in their work for the first time. Wherever you are, our goal is to help you build a company — and a life — that is whole, not divided.

Who are the other people in the room — and how are cohorts formed?

Each cohort is made up of 8–10 owners and from diverse industries and backgrounds who are in a similar stage of business. We look for people who are both humble and hungry — eager to grow and willing to contribute. Before joining, we take time to learn your story and ensure it’s a fit on both sides. This intentional process helps foster trust, depth, and shared momentum.
